"Morciano City´s Choir" ("Coro Città di Morciano") was founded in 1967 by prof. Oreste Pecci with a group of friends. Prof. Oreste Pecci is also the director of the choir.

It was founded because its members decided to live a unique experience in those years, on the territory of Rimini and in Conca river´s valley.

One of the main objects was to introduce a big public to sacred and profane compositions for the choir, from the XVI century to modern age.

In the first years of its life, the choir had only male voices; in 1973 were also introduced female voices. Two years later, in 1975, the choir realized its first tour in Holland, after the recording of a L.P. of Christmas song from all the world, called "Natale vivo".

In 70´s, the choir realized many popular and opera concerts in various localities of Romagna and Marche (Italy).

In 1979, during the second tour in Holland, the choir obtained great approvals by critic and public. Love for music found its great expression when many lessons-concert were held from children into schools.

In 1980, Morciano City´s Choir realized a new tour in Thun city; then, in 1999, after the twinship with "Czechoslovakian Academic Choir", the choir exhibited itself in two concerts in Praga and Brno. In 90´s, the choir has an increase constant in quality of music, exhibition and organic, too. In August 1993, Morciano City´s choir was in Poznan (Poland).

In April 1997, the choir exhibited itself in Calabria (Italy), after a new twinship with the community "Serra San Bruno". In Switzerland (1998), the choir realized numerous exhibition in Lucerna and Zofingen at the presence of Italian Consular Authorities and of the associations of our compatriots. In June 1997, Morciano City´s Choir represented the province of Rimini in a national review of choirs in Prato city (Tuscany). In June 2002, the choir took part in the international review "City of Genoa", after the twinship with "Coste Bianche Choir of Verona". In 2003, the choir has been called to sing during the Mass kept in jails celebrated by Bishop and transmitted on Radio Maria. In 2004, the choir has been called to Verona in order to take part in a beneficence concert, whose gain has been allowed to help a poor family for one year. In April 2006, the choir took part in one important manifestation in Padova. In that occasion, Morciano City´s Choir has executed two concerts: the first one in Noventa Padovana and the second one in Campo San Piero, together with other two choirs and one religious function in Saint Anthony´s Basilica in Padova. In May 2008, the choir took part in an important manifestation in Bergamo.

Passion for music, friendship, solidarity are the characteristics of our choir; we live with love for song and human deepest feelings.
